No doubt that vintage watches has grown greatly in popularity, which made large brands start producing vintage inspired new watches in their collection.

The beige colored hands & numerals, the bronze cases & tropical dials are a common theme in those watches, which feeds the passion for Nostalgic unique pieces in a newborn watch.

So lets have a quick look on some of the unique Dive watches that are Vintage Inspired.

1) Rado HyperChrome Captain Cook Limited Edition

Released in Baselworld 2017, This watch brings Rado’s 1962 model back to life with a vintage design beige hands & numerals, the dial color is a beautiful tanned dark brown with a date window at 3’oclock in red. Rotating bezel is ceramic ( Rado is famous with their unique ceramic material watches ) with a neat stainless steel 37.3mm case & brown leather strap.

Named after the British explorer Captain James Cook, This watch retails at 1800 CHF & limited to 1962 pieces. Great Value for an amazing piece!

2) The Longines Skin Diver Watch

Released in Baselworld 2018, The Longines Skin Diver is inspired by the brand’s late 1950’s model & first dive watch from Longines, The Longines Nautilus Skin Diver.

The Longines Skin Diver case comes with a 42mm diameter, 2mm bigger than the Original Nautilus watch. The Bezel is unidirectional & its markings match the cool puffy beige colored dial numerals and the hour & minute hands.

The dial appears to be normal black color but its has this aging touch as well.

The watch is a representation of a perfectly aged watch in a new body & movement. This watch retails at 2550 EUR & comes in 3 variations of Rubber, Leather & Stainless steel bracelets.

3) ORIS DIVERS SIXTY-FIVE Collection

Diving back to the 60’s, particularly to their 1965 Model. ORIS introduced the vintage inspired Divers Sixty-Five collection with a generous selection of beautiful 43 models.

The collection comes with a wide selection of case sizes ranging from 36mm to 42mm, straps of Leather, Stainless Steel, Rubber and Textile & Dial Colors of Black, Blue, Black & Silver. Vintage inspired curved glass made of sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating on the inside.

Prices if the ORIS SIXTY-FIVE is between 1800 CHF to 2200 CHF depending on size & bracelet.

4) Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 Limited Edition 50TH Anniversary 

Celebrating a special Anniversary, Zodiac re-introduced their iconic dive watch The Super Sea Wolf after 50 years of it’s introduction to the market. 

A slightly oval shaped model with a beautiful bulky steel bezel, Chronometer certified & an amazing depth capability of 1000M, Much more than a Diver needs.

The Bezel is unidirectional & needs to be pressed down to be turned to avoid any accidental rotation, which is a great feature in a serious tool watch.

Great color combination in the dial, indexes & the hands of Grey & Orange. This watch comes at a 44MM case, Before you panic! this watch feels perfect on the wrist due to it’s design.

5) The Seiko Prospex Diver Limited Edition SLA017

We simply can’t talk diving watches without mentioning the giant brad SEIKO.

In 2017, Seiko re-introduced their first ever diving watch produced in 1965 ref. 6217 with a modern design.

This re-introduction brought back the amazing vintage spirit of the 60’s with modern design of anti scratch material & a high grade caliber 8L35 movement with a 60 hours power reserve.

The Water resistants has been upgraded to 200m Vs 150m in the original 1965 watch.

The Seiko SLA017 is limited Edition of 2000 pieces & a price of 3,800 EUR.
